CloudDB can run under one of three different configurations...
- Community - Free Database as a Service. This service is running on CloudDB servers and server farms. Public means that your application and data are available through secure connections to any user that you designate. This option is great for ISV's who deploy their software to customers. Their application (during installation) can provision a new Database for private use for that specific application.
- Business - Private Label; Semi Private. Business accounts have all the DataBase as a Service goodness, and run on CloudDB servers and server farms around the globe. The main difference is that Business accounts run on private CloudDB dedicated instances. This offers a much faster, more secure product with higher availability.
- Enterprise - Behind the firewall; Private. CloudDB can be also installed on your own servers, behind your own corporate firewall. This service offers the ultimate protection, and access can be limited to users inside your organization.
